Named for General Lewis Cass, soldier, diplomat, statesman and President Andrew Jackson's Secretary of War, Cass County was organized April 13, 1829.
The county is located in the North Central part of the state with Logansport as its County Seat.
A number of highways intersect at Logansport, including 35, 24, 25, 17.
The Eel and Wabash Rivers cross the county from east to west.
